ASSOCIATE Donald has shared his unbridled enthusiasm with our clients since 2002. By combining his artistic sensibility, theatrical aesthetic, and cutting edge technical expertise Donald has come up with many exciting project solutions. A sampling of Donald’s design assignments for Available Light include: The Museum of Islamic Science and Technology at KAUST in Saudi Arabia, the African Burial Ground Interpretive Center in New York City, the reinvention of the 70,000 square foot exhibition program at Liberty Science Center in New Jersey, The Restoration of The Franklin Hall Rotunda in Philadelphia, the Connecticut Science Center, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute in Alabama, and the American Mountaineering Museum in Golden CO. Current design/project manager assignments include: The new Caguas Science Center in Puerto Rico, The Davis Bayou Visitor Center in Mississippi, the new Rocky Mountain Visitor Center, the USS Wisconsin Intro Theater at Nauticus in Norfolk, the new Ray Touch Tank at New England Aquarium, Bill Nye’s Climate Lab at the Chabot Science Center, and the restoration of the Faneuil Hall Visitors Center in Boston. Donald also utilizes his theatrical talents designing Corporate Communication projects for Available Light. Clients include: Charles River Lab, Convatec, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Bristol MyersSquibb, AstraZeneca, IBM and Sony Style retail stores. Before joining Available Light, Donald had the privilege of interning for the acclaimed NYC theatrical lighting designer, Ken Billington. In Chicago, Donald was an active theatrical lighting designer for anumber of production companies including the PR Productions, Blankspace Theatre, and The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Donald received a BFA in Theatrical Lighting Design from DePaul University, is Lighting Certified by the NCQLP, and is an associate member of the IALD. |
