The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum is a tribute to the energy and grace of Team USA’s most gifted athletes. The rhythmic and wrapping façade reflects the extraordinary content held within. The unique configuration of the ramped and highly accessible interior demanded precise planning to properly light a variety of exhibits and artifacts from a continuously variable ceiling plane. An all-LED lighting system of over 1000 fixtures (but only two fixture types) was installed to celebrate a wildly ranging palette of color and texture. A set of programmable and automated luminaires contribute to elevating an immersive video presentation of the Olympic opening ceremonies by injecting dynamic sweeps light to heighten the featured iconic and emotional events.
